History

La Rectoria de Godmar is an architectural complex in the town of Callús, on a hilltop, between the cemetery and the remains of the historic Godmar Castle, its namesake.

The castle dates back to the 10th century and only one circular semi-collapsed tower with a diameter of 7 m remains.

The complex was declared a Cultural Asset of National Interest in 1949 and is the result of the recovery of the historic Sant Sadurní church and the neighboring rectory; recently refurbished, it has been transformed into a set of spaces offering the possibility for different social and cultural events to be carried out, as the historic temple has been deconsecrated.
